Health System
Ethics at Bon Secours
Rooted in the healing ministry of Jesus
Christ and the Catholic Church, and in the charism of the Sisters of Bon
Secours, Bon Secours Health System is committed to bringing compassion
to health care and to provide good help to those in need, especially the
poor and the dying. In consistently doing this, and in innovative
collaboration with others, we both serve those in need, and advocate to
help meet the health care and related social needs of our communities.
Ethics at Bon Secours is not just a
matter of compliance with professional or religious norms. It is about
active reflection on organizational and personal values, clinical
performance, business practices and social responsibilities. And, as
importantly, ethics at Bon Secours is about applying the results of this
reflection and critical thinking to every aspect of our ministry:
providing compassionate care, engaging in thoughtful strategic planning
and business development, promoting operational excellence, managing
finances, and offering outstanding mission, advocacy and pastoral care
services.
