Health System Local Systems Awarded 60 Customer Service Awards

MD – Bon Secours’ Local Systems received 60 Customer Service
Awards last week at an awards ceremony presented by
Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC) in Charleston,
South Carolina. Hospital leaders from across the United States
gathered to participate in the 2003 PRC Patient Satisfaction
Client Conference. PRC is a nationally known healthcare
marketing research company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska.
The following Local Systems were named as 5-Star hospitals or
health care facilities. The 5-Star designation is limited to
those that achieved a score in the top 10 percent of the
nation, based on the percent of patients who rated their
hospital as “Excellent” for Overall Quality of Care in 2002,
and are compared to a database of health care facilities
nationwide.

Local Systems were named as 4-Star hospitals or health care
facilities. The 4-Star designation is limited to those that
achieved a score in the top 25 percent of the nation,
specifically those between the 75th and 90th percentile. The
percentile rankings are based on the percent of patients who
rated their hospitals as “Excellent” for Overall Quality of
Care in 2002, and are compared to a database of health care
facilities nationwide.
