Bon
Secours Mission Fund Celebrates 10
Years of Making
a Difference
Marriottsville, Maryland, December
31, 2008 – Ten years ago, Bon
Secours Health System decided to
create a special fund for the sole
purpose of meeting the unmet needs
of those who are poor and
underserved in the communities it
serves. The Bon Secours Mission Fund
has since awarded 147 grants,
totaling about $13 million, to 24
domestic and international
communities.
Impacting thousands of lives, the
funded projects provide education,
job training, and day care services
as well as enable people to become
self-sufficient. Health care and
women and family support services
also have been an important focus of
the Mission Fund. The seed money
provided by the Mission Fund has
allowed many programs to flourish
and succeed.
